Standards of Care

When you choose to have your baby with me, you are the decision maker regarding your care during your pregnancy and your birth. You will be fully informed before any procedure or screening is done to you or your baby.

When born, your baby will immediately be placed into your hands or be born into your hands and will remain with you at all times and nothing will be done to you or your baby without your permission and a full consent.

If you are comfortable with having another midwife and/or apprentice present at your birth, I will introduce you to one assistant midwife and one apprentice who may be a part of your birth team. This decision is of course always up to you and you can change your mind regarding who will be present at your birth at anytime (even during labor).
