Do you do VBACs?

We can not attend planned VBAC home births. We can however provide
prenatal, postpartum care and or doula/monitrice services.

~

do you take medicaid?

Unfortunately Medicaid does not cover homebirths. I do offer an individual payment plans and a $500.00 discount to Medicaid clients.

Do you recommend doulas?

I love doulas! I do require a doula for all my first time moms. I have seen my transfer for epidural rate drop significantly after implementing this rule. In fact, I have never transferred a home birth client for pain relief who has hired a doula. A good doula is worth every penny.

~

do you offer water births?

Yes we offer water as a great option for pain relief during labor. A birthing tub will be provided if you are paid in full by 36weeks.

~

What supplies are needed for homebirths?

A supply kit will be deliver to your door once you are 37weeks. This is also covered in your homebirth fee if you are paid off by 37weeks.

~

is homebirth messy?

Midwives are very tidy people. We try to leave your home as clean as it was when we arrived, if not cleaner. We typically empty the pool and pack it away, take out trash and do laundry and dishes. We keep everything covered with pads during birth to prevent body fluids from making a mess.
